Don't Give Up Because Others Have Already Gone Ahead

Sometimes, if you watch the speed at which some people are moving forward in life, you may be dismayed and greatly worried. It is important to know that, we are all running different races. Don’t stop because others have already arrived.
A 100 or 200 meter race demands fast speed for completion while another person on a 5000 meter race may decide to take it slowly but steadily according to his own pacing. It is an error to reduce your speed based on what you see others do. You might be running different races altogether. It is your race and your vision that will determine your speed in life.
On the day God declared that all species of animals should enter Noah’s Ark, it did not matter which fastest animals got there first. It did not matter which of the animals arrived next. They all went according to their own speed limits in life and that could not discourage the others from moving towards the Ark. Remember, Noah’s Ark never was never shut and never until all the animals entered. Do not think that there is no place for you again all because many people have already gone ahead and arrived. There are more opportunities not explored.
As I pondered on the different races we run in life and more especially, the call of God for all animals to enter the Ark of Noah, I deduced some motivational lessons to share with you.
Reasons Why You Must Not Stop Because Others Have Arrived Already
  1. We All Have Different Races and Different Purpose
Your purpose in life will determine the kind of race you have to run. If you are not careful, you will shift your focus and attention from your own destiny and concentrate your efforts in just watching someone pursue his or her dreams.
  1. How Far You Go Will Determine Your Speed in Life
Whether short or long distance, your speed is determined by your own preparations and attitude. Many people enter a race or start a project not necessarily to emerge victorious but to try and see whether it will work out.
  1. Earlier Arrival Doesn’t Close The Door To Others
Sometimes, some people get discouraged because another person has already stepped ahead of them to achieve similar projects they thought of. The fact that someone has achieved it already does not mean that that door is forever shut behind you. The fastest animals may be the first to reach the Ark of Noah but that would not have shut the Ark. The fact that someone has already achieved a great success in your field of pursuit does not mean you cannot do same or better.
  1. Sometimes, Earlier Arrivers Don’t Get Noticed
Life is very interesting. Sometimes, those who arrive earlier are not really noticed. Whether someone has really made much noise through massive publicity or not, you are of your own kind and a unique person altogether. Keep on moving.
  1. A Late Arrival Sometimes Call For Standing Ovation
After the fastest animals had all arrived earlier, Mr. Tortoise and Mr. Snail now showed up. It wasn’t that they wanted to show off hence came late but they maintained their speed. Surprisingly, the Ark will not be shut because they had not arrived yet. The most important personalities at important function are sometimes, the last to arrive after all is set. I pray that your late arrival in life will cause people to give you a standing ovation.
Don’t stop because others have already arrived.
Don’t pack your tools and stop working.
Don’t get discouraged all because you think people may not even notice you.
Don’t stop because you feel like stopping.

WISDOM FOR 2016

WISDOM FOR 2016 BY ERNEST K. AKORLI
Joseph had a dream of becoming a great man in his time but it never happened until he interpreted 2 Prisoners dreams and finally, Pharaoh's dream. Joseph became the Prime Minister when he decided to put his own dream aside and assist Pharaoh to achieve his dream by working hard to get enough food for Egypt.

Assisting Pharaoh to achieve his dreams made his own dreams to be achieved and fulfilled at the appropriate and the right time. Here are a few lessons to be learnt from the story of Joseph in the Bible.
Lessons from the Story
1.    Support other people's dreams and yours too will be supported and achieved.

2.    You need someone to partner you; you cannot do it all alone. It takes only one person to conceive an idea but it takes a group of people to achieve the bigger goal.
3.    Working for someone today may not be a waste of time; it might be God's method to   achieve yours. Sometimes, you need to acquire some experience from somewhere in order to learn how to manage your own.
4.    Exhibit skill and wisdom in all you do, this paved a way for Joseph.
5.    Every dream has its own time to be fulfilled so keep your hope alive. Though the vision may delay, wait for it. It will surely come to pass (Hab. 2:3)
6.    Joseph did not give up after he interpreted one Prisoner's dream but he finally forgot him in prison when all was well with him. Don't give up despite the disappointment. Your failure should not derail you from the ultimate goal.
7.    Even while in prison, Joseph kept his dreams and hopes alive. No matter the kind of prison in which you are, nobody can imprison the power of your imaginations and your ideas so brighten the corner where you are.
8.    Above all, God was with him and he prospered in all he did. You can do nothing without God. In your dealings and planning for the New Year, seek God and see the great elevation and opportunities that await you.

In 2016, support someone's dream or vision.
Think about it

Reflect on it &
Pass it on to a friend.

REVELATION FOR ELEVATION IN LIFE

IN LIFE, YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE

In life, you only live once. If you are lucky and you have the opportunity to come back to life through resurrection before rapture, then that's just a luck for you. The truth of the matter is this, it is not all people that are lucky to come back to life. It is just by grace alone.

In life, you only live once so make everyday count. Life is too precious and expensive too expensive to be spent hating someone, wasting it on the wrong people, doing something that will not bring happiness for tomorrow and anything that erases your name from the good books of posterity.

Today could be my last motivational message to my readers.
Today could be the only chance for you to be somebody in life.
Today could be the only opportunity you have to repent and be saved.
Today could be the only chance to try that idea before you die.
Today could be the only chance to make that proposal and marry.
Today could be the day of your last breathe and die.

What are you waiting for? Nobody knows what tomorrow holds for us but once you are alive today, make everything count because tomorrow may never come for only you. Remember, in life, you only live once so make everyday count. I have only one life to live but with several opportunities. There is nothing like perfect condition for you to kick start your ideas for there could be inperfection in the supposed perfection so desired.

In life, you only live once so make yourself count in the society otherwise, the world will discount your value. People will remember you for just two things: the solutions you bring to brighten their lives or the troubles you brought to destroy their lives. My friends, it is not too late to start something no matter your age, qualification and experience. All that matters is the first efforts and a disciplined mind for continuity. Yes, you can.

It is time to stand up and be up to the task.
It is time to arise from mediocrity and become a great entity.
It is time to leave obscurity to become a celebrity.
It is time to do something before you die.
O yes, it is time to make your name before society mars it.

Remember, in life, you only live once.

WEAR THE RIGHT BRAND

It was in the year 2006, when my pet career, writing had fully taken off and in wild goose chase for more challenging stuffs for exploits. My passion led me to flirt with acting a movie just to see how a movie script is written.

And it was time for audition. I was a novice and I tried all I could to hide my naivety. After I was tried with different roles, the 3 judges (1 Ghanaian & 2 Nigerians) exclaimed: "This guy is a pastor. It is too much in his DNA and he wears it as well. He cannot play those roles well", they said to mock at me.

Wow, I wear Christ? Anyway, I got the only Pastoral role in the script. It is no doubt that everywhere I go, strangers call me Pastor.

That is the brand I wear each day. Whose brand do you wear? Is it the Louis Vitton or the Georgio Armani or Christ?

My friends, it is simple. Any time you feel people have addressed you wrongly, check the kind of character and attitudinal brand you're wearing... It is needles to hurl insults on them for addressing you wrongly, just pause and check.

In Romans 13:14 & Gal 3:27, we are advised to put on Christ.

My ladies, people may address you as "Osofomaame, Cheap Girl, High Class Lady, Gold Digger, etc" and if you feel insulted, then pause and check. Men, no more mismatch in your branding. People will definitely address you the way you dress.

Your social Cv, thus the way people perceive you, is more important than your Degree and professional Cv. I've got so many opportunities because of my Social Cv and not my Degree. It's a matter of wearing the right brand.

Think about it!
Reflect over it!
Work on it!

Remove the old brand and wear Christ today.

PUT THEM INTO PRACTICE (PHIL 4:9-19)

The Apostle Paul, having ministered the gospel to the Philippians for some time, observed their ways of life and wrote a letter to encourage the church as he left them to continue the work of God. In his letter, he encouraged them to put seven things into practice in their Christian journey in order to obtain the peace of God and for the church to grow and glow.

1.      Put to practice what you have seen, heard, learned and received – (Phil 4:9). It is not enough to hear about the mighty works of Christ through Pastors, Evangelists, Prophets and other Preachers; it is not enough to see miracles and testimonies, it is not enough to learn from the teachings; you have to receive them and put them into practice.

2.      Keep On With Your Generosity: In verse 10,15 &16, Paul expressed his heartfelt appreciation about the generosity of the Philippians who assisted him and gave freely even when he left them and was ministering at Macedonia and Thessalonica. This act also, he encouraged them to put into practice.

3.      Be Content (Verse 11-13): One critical point Paul stressed was learning to be content whether in need or in abundance, whether in good times or bad times. You must learn to be content and put your faith in God regardless of the situations we find ourselves. Situations may change but God’s plan doesn’t change.

4.      Total Reliance on God (verse 13): Just as Paul totally relied on God and did amazing works, so did he encourage the Philippians to totally rely on God. He said: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. By strength can we prevail in our Christian journey. Put these things into practice and you see the glory of God in your life.

5.      Care and share in one another’s troubles (verse 14-15). The Philippians, a nursery church by then, was the only church that continually and willingly shared and assisted Paul when he left them and ministered in Macedonia and as far as Thessalonica. Gal 6:9 stresses that we should not be weary in doing good to people especially our Christian brothers and sisters. Put these things into Practice. Life gets better when we live for others and have their welfare at heart.

6.      Your offering goes to your personal account (Verse 17-19): Paul stressed that all the generosities of the church, their sacrifices, and offerings are not meant for the benefit of pastors but what will be credited in their personal accounts. Any time you want to sign a check through prayer and cash some blessings from Heaven, first pause and check how much you have invested. Beloved, your account must not show the red. Put to practice, the act of giving to support people.

7.      God of peace will be with you (Verse 9): Beloved, you have heard a lot, learned a lot, seen many wonders and miracles and seen a lot more, but Paul said, put them into practice and the God of peace will be with you.

I pray that the God of peace will be with you as you continually put to practice all that you have learned, heard, seen and received. You must put these seven things into practice and you will grow from level of faith and maturity to another.

WALKING ON ONE LEG TO YOUR DESTINY

Walking On One Leg to Your Destiny

One day, I visited my village and I wanted to say hi to an old childhood friend before leaving to the city. I was told he has relocated to the next village and I had no option than to walk. After 30 minutes walk, it was all tall trees in a lonely path I could see ahead of me.

I became very exhausted and running out of energy to carry on until I came across an old amputated man walking on that same footpath with clutches. I greeted and ask to make sure I was on the right track and he responded.

"Yes, you are. I'm also going there to visit my sick friend".

I was amazed and taken aback. I later realized that he has been walking for the past 2 hours and never complaining of the distance.

As I walked past him, thoughts of this old man walking on just one leg filled my mind. I could just imagine the number of hours more he had to walk to the next village and pay a visit to a sick friend. What even got me sadder was how the old man would walk back home on that lonely and quiet footpath and on just one leg.

Friends, don't get tired walking towards the goal in your life. The path may be very rough, lonely and boring but keep your focus and you will surely get there. If you are getting tired, then remember that someone is walking on just one leg to his destination.. Don't give up so soon. Your glory could just be around you.

May be you have found yourself walking all alone in life. The path may not be the most entertaining type with lots of interesting people on the way but you just have to keep going so far as it leads to the right and desired destiny. It is not a matter of how rocky and lonely the path may be but whether it will lead us there.

Any time you are to fed and feel like giving up, remember that someone is still walking on just one leg and plying the same root that you are walking with both legs and complaining bitterly. You just have to encourage yourself and move on in life.

FORGETTING GOD AND CHASING THE WORLD

As soon as Mr. Yawson's alarm clock struck at 4:00am, he flicked his eyes open, gave out a loud yawn and swung to his feet. He quickly scurried to the washroom to wash down and prepare for work. He knew he has a tall to-do list and attend countless meetings to seal a business deal. There he heard a voice that sent a shiver into his spine and he froze at once.

"My son, I love you so much but you don't return my love. It's always about you, your work, workers, customers and you. I kept you alive this morning, gave you good health & strength but no appreciation and simple thank you for me. You don’t have time to talk to me all because you claim you are always busy. Ironically, you make time to call your customers & thank them but you at times forget to thank me for giving you the life and strength to make all those monies that have preoccupied you.

“You don't even have time for your family. Putting money on the table for your family is not a sign of a good and a responsible father. Your money cannot build their strong spiritual relationship with me. Your money cannot buy them personal salvation. It all depends on you. You have to introduce them to true worship and teach them how live a godly life.

“Sadly, you only talk to me when in need. Oh my son, what kind of relationship is this that you only talk to your father when you are only in need? The big amounts of money you give in church only assists my work but I’m not impressed. Money cannot restitute the quality time I want to share with you”.

At this moment, Mr. Yawson broke down in tears when he realized how busy schedules had caused him to neglect his God and his family. He slowly went on bended knees as tears welled up in his eyes and glittered. The voice continued to speak.
“I deliberately blessed you to be a blessing to the church, your family and many people. Unfortunately, you don’t even have time to attend church and spend quality time with your family. My son, I just wanted to test you with this little opportunity but you have proved to me that a bigger opportunity will sweep your feet away from my house.

“I am always watching my children. Their attitudes towards me in times of abundance will determine what I’ll do next in their lives. My son, if only you will know my purpose for your life, then you won’t be chasing after the gifts of this world and neglect the giver of the gifts.
“If only you will have time for me and my work and your family, then you can go far in life”, the voice ended.

Mr. Yawson could not utter any word. He fell prostrate on the floor in the washroom as he prayed for forgiveness. As a sign of repentance, he called his entire household and led morning devotion for the first time. His words of exhortation were the exact words the voice told him. That marked the beginning of daily devotion life in the family of the Yawsons.

My friends, God is not interested in our offerings if we cannot first offer our time and bodies to Him for His work and purpose. How will you feel if your life partner, boyfriend or girlfriend only talks to you when that person needs money or something? That’s how God feels about us when we neglect Him. It’s time to stop chasing material things and have time for God as well.

LOVE IS DEEPER THAN YOU THINK

I just want you to closely look at these two pictures for a while. What do you make of these two pictures? It is only true love that can make one do this. I don’t know how deeply rooted your love is to your partner or parents. True love calls for commitment and loyalty. True love is risking your own life just to ensure that those you love are safe. Yes, love is deeper and riskier than you think.

You can see true love connections, loyalty and committed friendship between this saddened dog waiting for its owner by the grave. And oh, how it wishes that the owner will emerge out of the grave for it to wag its tail, jump and embrace the owner and walk home for life to go on.

In the second picture, you can see this man who must at all cost rescue his pets. He might have lost everything through the flood. All his certificates have been carried away by flood; he has lost all his investment documents, the most expensive and flashing things he had were all drowning and being destroyed by the water but he decided to save his pets. He knew how valuable the pets were to him than all others.

How ready are we to risk our own lives and save the lives of the millions who are perishing and registering their names earmarked for hell? You are not in love if you have not  risked your life to do something that will cost you just to ensure that others are safe. Many of the times, we are always thinking about what we can do to better our lives and that of our close family members and not the lives of our friends and the church members whom we shepherd. Love is deeper than you think, my brothers and sisters

It is cheaper to say “I love you”, deeper to live with the one you love and better to live for another. When we live for others, we cannot remain selfish again. When we live for ourselves, we don’t really care deep down within us what happens to the other person.

Love is deeper than you think! You are not in love if you are not ready to risk your life and save situations and the life of the very ones we claim to love. It is an illusion and a fallacy to believe that love is a feeling you feel when you feel that you are feeling a feeling you have never felt before.

Would you have risked your life like the saddened dog and or this rescuer who must at all cost save his pets? We have a lot to do! Love is deeper than you can ever think. Those who are not ready to die for something just live and settle for anything. Man, love is deeper and riskier than you think.

Thanks for reading this article from www.yesuba.blogspot.com. Please feel free to share with your friends or tell us how deeper and riskier you think love is in this world. You can also visit www.ernestkojoakorli.blogspot.com and read more interesting articles. God bless you for reading.

WORK IN SILENCE; LET SUCCESS MAKE THE NOISE

You cannot boast of what you are about to do no matter how great your ideas are. After conceiving the ideas, you need to make conscious efforts to transform them from the abstract stage in your mind to the realization stage. Anyone can conceive a great idea but not everyone can start it. A lot more have moved from the abstract level to start the ideas but could not reach the growth level and maturity.

You need to plan and plan. Thinking is difficult; hence only a few people do good thinking for something great. Planning to make a great difference to realize your ideas involves great thinking. Many of the challenges in our days and the worst maladies of our generation were the results of lazy thinking and little planning.

If only you want to hit the mark then work in silence. Yes, work in silence and with time, success will announce your presence. This is because the world and the bias media are ready to listen to the man that has overcome all hurdles heckling him in life to achieve great feat.

You have wonderful stories and great ideas to transform lives but people may not be interested to listen to you because today you are a ‘nobody’. Even when celebrities and stars remain silent for a while, people poke them to say something and that becomes news worth talking about. The secret is work hard to excel at whatever you do and you will see the bias media now chasing you for news items. Yes, work hard in silence; and let success make the noise for you.

Let your works speak for you! Let your success be sung on the lips of other people! And this can only happen when you work in silence. Thomas Edison worked in silence for a long time before he succeeded in inventing the light bulb. During all those years of his trial and error, he was still working in silence.
Your success will bring you to the limelight if no seems to know you, recognize and appreciate you. Work hard in silence and let your success make the noise for you.

Please feel free to share with your friends and love ones.

THE SWEET EARLY MORNING VOICE

The voice we choose to hear in the early morning is very important and can make or mar our day. To some people, they want to hear that special voice that tingles something on the inside of them before they sleep and first thing when they wake up. We wake up with new energy to work to achieve our goals or wake up with the pains of the past dissipating our energies. Whether your day will be ruined or not depends on some key elements that play a great role in your life.

Over the years, the airwaves are normally littered with bad news. Yes, it's bad news everywhere! One journalist and a news producer once said that it's the bad news that sell the newspapers. "Bad news that will arouse people's interest and cause them to purchase the newspapers and listen to radio and TV programs are what we look out for", the journalist admitted.

Each day, we wake up to listen to news and many a time, forgetting to read our Bibles and pray to God. It is important to read your Bible and hear the voice of God for the day, howbeit, we rather choose to listen to news. Worst of all, most of the news are normally laced with political insults. Insults and deceptions that may aggravate our conditions in life. This may also lead to unnecessary and unproductive arguments.

Whose voice do you hear each morning? Is it the radio or your God? One of the dangerous ways to condition your mind and spirit for the day is listening to trashes, lies, insults, deceptive messages and the likes. You must rather create an atmosphere of intense worship or a hot praise whilst driving to work or preparing for the day. The word of God gives hope, happiness, inner joy, clear sense of direction, purpose, correction and a catalyst to propel you to achieve the impossible.

One of the worst things we do not know about always tuning our radio to listen to the bad news first thing in the morning is the way our subconscious mind processes the information. As you go throughout the day, your subconscious mind will be processing the news you heard or read and may affect your actions and reactions for the day. It is good to listen to news but make sure the voice you hear in the morning will be the voice of God.

If what you hear does not inspire you, then you are expiring gradually. If what you hear does not encourage you, then you are discouraged in life. If what you hear in the early morning is political lies, deception, insults and all the ugly stuff on the airwaves, then you can be assured of keeping so many trashes in your mind, heart and life.

The choice is your! Choose to hear the voice of God first before all those bad news, political lies, deceptions and gimmicks.

HER FIRST VISIT IN THE YEAR 2015

It was a wonderful Friday. Dave walked to the office in high spirit with a broad and an infectious smile that signaled good news and lingered long on his face. His colleagues noticed the sharp change in his attitude and started poking their noses into his life to pester him to let out the secret of his happiness.

"My Pretty Empress has finally accepted my proposal", he revealed. "She is coming to visit me tomorrow and I can't wait to receive her. Tomorrow seems like a whole month for me", Dave added as his friends cheered him up and wished him well in love.

“My lady is coming! I have to leave now and pass by the mall to do some shopping”, he said to his friends as he started the ignition of his car and drove off the scene. The D-day finally came and it was a somewhat story. Her visit was without much happiness and a bit boring.

“So is that all?” the lady asked Dave. “You called several times wanting to see me but nothing was discussed; just a little laughter and a little achieved”, she said as she was leaving. The smile on Dave’s face disappeared at once.
In his sober reflections, he realized that he did not plan and prepare enough to make the visit a memorable one.

Today, we are all like Dave and the beautiful lady is the YEAR 2015. We are all expecting the year 2015 with much happiness and expectation. It is not enough to meet it. Those who plan now can make the most out of it with testimonies and achievements. If you do some lazy thinking and planning like Dave, you will be disappointed. The lady (YEAR 2015) will leave you and the little smiles on your face will disappear at once.

The journey through the year 2015 began long ago. We don't learn that much during exams time. We learn to await examinations. This presupposes that planning for the year 2015 should have been done in the previous year. With a clear cut direction, you are not likely to be confused and wasting time. He who has received a direct vision from God should focus on the instructions to the destination and not the distractions of men.
